The trip starts and ends in Anniston, but that's because a key restaurant was left off the list. The restaurant, Classic on Noble, is not quirky but is absolutely incredible, and their signature dish--the Shrimp & Grits--is actually on the famous Top 100 Foods to Eat Before You Die list.

Supper Heroes is in the city with the Space & Rocket Center, for example, and Wildflower Cafe is in a gorgeous part of the state that offers other attractions. Of course, Big Daddy's and Derailed Diner are both fairly close to the beach!
