First three days of trip, starting from Monroe, with stops in Hattiesburg MS, Pensacola FL, Tallahassee FL, Live Oak FL, before reaching Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Studios.
1915 Park Ave, Monroe, Louisiana 71201-3405 USA
Plan to leave no later than 5AM (stop by Local Doughnut store for breakfast as we head out of town).
Spot to take a break, and get snacks.
Dog friendly - call on the way just to make sure but based on reviews dogs allowed outside and bowl available for water.
Restaurant in Hotel - will need to leave as early as possible (if we can get in the car and on the road by 8am that will give us more park time). Harry's is a restaurant that is close that has patio seating and allows dogs if we want to go out to eat.
Similar to Buckee's and will be a good snack and gas stop before we get to Orlando.
Dogs under 30 pounds have indoor kennel (located where trailer parking where the Universal Parking lot is.) Check in at hotel first and see if they will give room early, if not 15 dollars for the kennel. Kennel Wicket to start touring parks, then once we get notification that room is ready we can move him over to the room.
Once we check in and either drop Wicket off at Kennel or at hotel (Sal's Market) stop at one of the counter service locations for lunch on the way into IOA. Hot Dog Hall of Fame, Toothsome, and Antojitos.
Ride Spider Man, Skull Island, Forbidden Journey, and then take Train over to Universal. Skipping the water rides and Seuss Island so that we can focus on rides Trae likes or hasn't done yet since he will not be with us on Monday.
Ride plan: Fast and Furious, Transformers 3D, Revenge of the Mummy, Universal Horror and Make Up Show, Shrek 4D, Despicable Me, Race Through New York, ET Adventure, Men in Black, The Simpson Ride, and end the night with Cinematic Spectacular.
Eat dinner at Toothsome or one of the other City Walk restaurant options.
