We spent 2 weeks in New Orleans and we want to go back already.
Grab a beignet (or four) and try not to inhale the delicious powdered sugar that will be sure to spark memories of Johnny Depp in the movie Blow. Pick up some chicory coffee while you are there to wash it down. Definitely worth it.
A great example of an old cemetery in the south with loads of coping tombs and mausoleums and endless photo opportunities. Unlike some of the other cemeteries, you do not need a tour guide nor pay a fee to enter. Calling all American Horror Story fans! New Orleans was home to season 3 the Coven and sports lots of homes and bars that can be seen on the show. This beauty was the Academy and unfortunately is not open for tours (actually, not open for loitering either per the signage). Check out the full American Horror Story tour for all of the locations! https://www.tripadvisor.com/AttractionReview-g60864-d10062044-Reviews-AmericanHorrorStoryTour-NewOrleansLouisiana.html
