San Francisco to Woodacre

Ashland, OR is a neat little liberal enclave in Red Oregon if you want to stop for lunch or a night. It's about the size of Geneseo with a state college (Southern Oregon U.) but more interestingly a very large Shakespeare Theater festival. It's a lot like Stratford. Nothing will be going on now but worth just pulling into the small downtown to look around if you need a break and want to get an Elizabethan fix. It's just across the Oregon border from CA on I-5, ~45 minutes south of Grants Pass.
