Seeing the best sites that I've wanted to return to.
Griffith Park is an amazing park in the middle of Los Angeles. You can hike around on your own or take a tour. The observatory, with the 'Leonard Nimoy event horizon theator' is worth the trip. Best of all, most of it is FREE!
This is just a place I've always wanted to go. I love nature and being outside.
It's awesome to think that these dunes were created by winds carrying the sand from 50 miles away. The wind has also shaped and created the dunes. There lots of fun things to do and learn, including 'sand boarding/sledding'.
One of the largest waterfalls east of the Mississippi, the Upper Falls has a drop of nearly 50 feet and is more than 200 feet across. Four miles downstream is the Lower Falls, a series of five smaller falls cascading around an island. There are campgrounds, a year-round lodge that sleeps 10, and a brew pub to greet you at the top of the Upper Falls that offers the best white fish & chips you will ever taste!
This is great 'next' place to go after visiting Tahquamenon Falls. Remember the song, 'The Edmund Fitzgerald'? This is where you will see it.
