Road trip. Summer of 2016. 3,315 miles, 32 days, 15+ inches of rain, 2 Tropical Storms, and 1 tent.
Richmond, city of....everything. Try it all.
No frills, great food counter service restaurant. Order the hush puppies, then grab a table with a water view.
Oregon Inlet, North Carolina, United States
Great views! Take your camera.
Nice campground. 30 feet to the beach. Great sunrises and sunsets.
Give yourself an hour and look at all the old pictures.
Get your exercise and walk. Don't trolley. Stop at "The Tavern"--the oldest liquor store in the US.
Ahhh, Charleston. So welcoming, even in the middle of Tropical Storm Colin.
Free WIFI! And a shuttle to downtown Charleston.
Do yourself a favor and pay the 10$ for the trolley tour. The scenery alone is worth it. And taste test all the flavors of tea in the gift shop.
Firefly Distillery--yes. YES. I did the testing, it was plentiful enough to make me sit for awhile before driving on. I bought lots of Christmas presents here. Mostly for myself.
You will NEVER know you're only 10 minutes from a grocery store, gas station, neighborhood, etc. One of the Savannah tour companies will pick up and drop off at the campground on certain days.
Sad story, beautiful sculpture. Enjoy the walk along River Street, then look back at the bridge at sunset.
Take your camera and get photos of the old warehouse buildings.
I skipped supper to have more room for custard. The lemon was amazing!
I would have stayed forever. Pedestrian friendly, green, and neat surprises around every corner.
A neat little stop outside of the visitors bureau
Beautiful. Please remember to turn your camera flash off.
This is not the end, it's just the beginning!
