HELLO! So you're new to Northside and want to get a taste? Look no further than this quick guide to the best bars and quick bites from the south to the north of Hamilton Ave. in Northside.
Start at The Littlefield. This is my favorite place to eat. Stop here first for some bourbon and some food. When it's warm you can sit outside.
After eating at the Littlefield get your game on and work off some of those carbs. Arcade Legacy has all of your favorite old arcade games, a full bar, hot dogs and modern and vintage game consoles (NES, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, etc.) Plus it's right across the street. I like this place a lot.
Urban Artifact
So now you're heading north, and you could turn down Blue Rock to Urban Artifact which is a small brewery specializing in unique sour beers. The best summery-beer is called Finn and it's very good on a hot day. They also have outdoor seating but unfortunately no food. Although you can order a pizza here.
The last bar before lunch (?) I recommend heading up Hamilton to the Listing Loon. This bar is quiet and pretty chill. They have a very good wine and craft beer selection and frequently have live music. It's a great place to chill before getting your next bite to eat.
Ruth's Parkside Cafe
The first option is a nice sit down joint that also serves pretty good cocktails. This is a family/neighborhood restaurant so if you're not going to act nice, don't go here but if you do want some delicious healthy fare, stop in.
Blue Jay Restaurant
If, at this point, you're pretty drunk you might want to stop into this greasy spoon and grab a burger, chili or some breakfast. Blue Jay is a diner that hasn't changed in decades and isn't about to change anytime soon.
OK, so you're recharged some food again and it's finally night time(?). Let's go to Northside Tavern and see some music. If you smoke, this seems like a good place to go because of their outdoor patio and fire pit. Beer selection is alright, I recommend Bell's Two Hearted Ale.
Finally you are going to end at The Comet which is a Cincinnati institution. All kinds of world famous bands have played here, hung out here, and started here. It's a great place to close out your night because this place can handle some craziness. They also have huge burritos and a great beer selection. Enjoy.
Welp! That's my first trip guide. I hope you've enjoyed our journey and enjoy Northside.
