Overview
Laughlin, Nevada is a town in Clark County, Nevada and a port located on the Colorado River. Laughlin is 90 miles (140 km) south of Las Vegas, located in the far southern tip of Nevada. It is the third most visited casino and resort destination in the state after Las Vegas and Reno.

- Laughlin was founded in in 1966 when Don Laughlin opened the first casino, the Riverside.
- In 1987, Don Laughlin funded and built the Laughlin Bridge at a cost of $3.5 million. He donated the bridge to the states of Nevada and Arizona. The bridge carries 2,000 vehicles daily.
- There are currently no freeways that pass through Laughlin.
- The 1998 the horror film Shark, was filmed in Laughlin along the Colorado River.
