“sleep under the stars”
Parks Pond Campground is a mostly seasonal camper campground located on 14 acres of beautiful Parks Pond in the small town of Clifton, Maine. Mike and Selina Lufkin and all the wonderful families want you to "come play in our neighborhood" soon. Summer 2013 will be our nineth summer on the Pond with several "Theme Weekends" planned. Our season opens May 10, 2013 when Clifton is alive with spring in the air and closes October 14, 2013 (Columbus Day) just in time for some leaf peeping. We hope you and your family will come and visit us soon.

Confirmed by 2 users | Last reported on August 10, 2022Simple little CG on a lake along Hwy 9. Lots of fulltime/seasonal residents, but you can't blame them, it's a nice spot. We had no problem pulling in for just a night and the management was super nice.
Lake water was eerily warm and there were canoes and kayaks out. Not sure about rentals. Lots of folks were walking across the street to a golf course and I overheard some others say they'd been climbing nearby.
Free wifi but minimal other connectivity. A little bit of truck noise at night but not too bad for us.

Good place to stop at the end of a day drive. Easy access off highway. Mostly seasonal people on a nice lake. Washer and dryer rates were very reasonable. Showers were clean. People were very friendly. Water and electric with a dump area. Sites are dirt driveways. No cell phone coverage for at&t or straight talk.

We stayed here three days while exploring the surrounding area. It’s close to Bangor and Ellsworth/ Bar Harbor. The lake is good for swimming and fishing. Good stop over on the way to Canada.
