The zoo in St.louis is free. The zoo is large there are strollers for rent. And a fee for the shows, children's zoo,and train. The children's zoo has a lot of hands on the animals.
Me and wife love this Zoo. Get there early and bring your own food and drinks. But, keep it in the car in a cooler.I don't mind donating to the Zoo( We always buy show tickets when available and usually buy stuff at the gift shops) but, we don't always want their selection of food and the prices are always a bit too much. The zoo is free so you can go out to your own vehicle and have lunch and refresh yourselves. Check local traffic and construction it seems like they are always working on the roads around the downtown area.
Gorgeous and wonderful zoo. Especially since it's free! Better than most of the paid entrance zoos I've been to.
It's been about 16 years since I visited here. I couldn't believe that the zoo was free! I remember being very impressed with this place! Beowulf definitely visit again.
We live in a city where the zoo is very expensive but you get pretty good adventure for your buck. The free side of the museum sounded great. While we don't have any children we thought we'd give it a whirl. It wasn't all that appealing to me as an adult. Great it's free, great I just paid $10 for parking, great I see like two animals.
The best advice is to go early, especially during the summer months. Parking was hell. Lines were super long. We had to go to the overflow parking. The overflow parking wasn't properly labelled. We drove around a few time before seeing it. It was great stopping here. The children loved it.
Free zoo and the train is the best
It's not completely free. To watch the sting rays. $4. Sealion show $4. Train ride. $4. Etc etc.
One of my favorite zoos in America. Completely free and very clean.
This is an excellent zoo! the free price tag is a major plus, but, like all parks/zoos, the price is in the purchased items. parking is a pain in the rear at this zoo, but once your in, the zoo itself is very well kept, excellently organized, and layed out in a way that is easy to navigate, even if you are skipping around to various exhibits. Definatley pack for lots of walking as the zoo is rather large. For anyone passing through, looking for a good all day stop for the family, this zoo is perfect. Just be warned, the free price tag means that there are A LOT of people, which is why parking is such a pain.
