We stayed here overnight while traveling across Nebraska. The campground is located about 1.5 miles north of I-80, so most of the road noise you get comes from the road in front of the campground rather than the interstate. Note that you will drive past the southern section of sites to get to the entrance, but don't make the right turn until you come to the KOA sign that marks the location of the office (you'll also see the propane refill tank on the corner). The office door is on the east side of the building, and if you arrive after hours, the overnight reservation box is located just inside the door of the laundry room (rather than being mounted on the exterior of the building).
With the exception of a few back-in sites in the southern section, all of the sites are pull-throughs, and every site (back-in and pull-through) has full hookups with gravel pads and grass lawns. The middle row of sites in the northern section are buddy sites with a single extra-wide pad and a set of hookups in the middle of a pad. All non-patio sites have a picnic table, while deluxe patio sites have a concrete patio with two round tables, a fire pit, a grill, and several adirondack chairs.
We were in site 62, a regular pull-through site with a pad that was almost as wide as a buddy site and was more than long enough for our 37-foot fifth-wheel and 21-foot truck. The site had no shade tree (most sites do not) but was very level side-to-side.
The campground has the usual KOA amenities: a convenience/souvenir store, bathrooms, a laundry room, a pool, a large playground, a jump pad, a mini-golf course, and some lawn games. It also has a Hunt Brothers pizza kitchen, pedal go-carts, a regular basketball hoop, an enclosed play area for some sort of basketball-based game, a "water war" game of some kind, and a stocked fishing lake with two paddle boats.
The large dog park is located in the grassy valley between the north and south sections of the park. It's divided into two sections that share a single airlock-style entrance. There is plenty of grass in that valley to walk your dog if both halves of the dog park are occupied, and there's also a walking trail along the fishing lake.
In terms of cell service, the best speed I saw on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna was 25 Mbps down and 24 up, and we had no trouble streaming video. The best speed I saw on my AT&T smartphone with 5G was 302 Mbps down and 20 up.

This campground seems to attract 2 types of people: locals looking for a campground with a lot of stuff for kids and people looking for a quick overnight stop with amenities. I was the latter.
The middle row of this campgrounds has 2 sites to a spot. In one case, my neighbor's slide-out was hanging over the water hose bib and power pedestal.
Kids are loud and run around u supervised and people continue ually cut through our site.
The bathroom was not as clean as it should have been.
If you absolutely need a spit with power, this works, if you can skip power, a Walmart parking lot is a much better choice.

This was a very busy, family campground! Our site was gravel pull-thru with FHU's, well kept lawn between sites, and quite spacious for being stacked like cordwood. Fishin' pond, playgrounds, pool (busy this time of year), large indoor pavilion, nice camp store, tons of stuff for the kids to do and play on. Even being this busy with the large amount of young'uns running and biking around it was surprisingly quiet. They even deliver the on site Hunt's Bros. Pizza to your site. Staff was friendly. We camped at Des Moines West KOA Holiday in a Motorhome.

This KOA is quickly becoming one of our all time favorites. We’re stayed here 3 times as quick stops on cross country trips between CA and WI. It’s perfect!! Clean, quiet, huge spots and open in winter!! I can’t say enough about this great spot.

Booked here last minute and had very low expectations. Luckily we were pleasantly surprised.
Very easy getting to it off the highway.
Wonderful staff and very pleasant campers looking to enjoy the wonderful campground.
Best camp store we have ever seen. Fun quality items.
Great, level sites with a decent amount of room between and we had a great view of the fishing pond.
Plenty of room for our dually and Jeep, even with our 44' fifth wheel.
Excellent WiFi and cell service.
It's quite a distance from downtown Des Moines and not much in the area at all. I love even finding obscure things in the area, but the only thing I could find here is that they filmed Bridges of Madison County here. Not even a good movie.
If you're looking for a good stop-over spot or a fun place to hang out with the family for a few days this is a great spot.

We came thru looking to dump and refill water. Although they do not have a regular dump station, they had a side empty long enough for us to dump and fill up on water. $21.40 to dump/fill but didn’t find another spot of the interstate so it was worth it.
