Awful. Full of permanent residents. Crowded sites, lost of drinking, electricity went out all night long. When we got there someone was in our site so we had to take another site. The whole place is trashy. Will not ever return.

This is an Encore park, which I stayed at for free because it's part of my Thousand Trails membership. This is not what most people typically look for in a campground, but if you level set your expectations you can have an enjoyable stay. It's mostly permanent trailers, either park models or travel trailers that haven't moved in years and have essentially become permanent fixtures with decks and porches built around them. But they do keep a certain number of sites available for transient RVers. The age of this park really shows but the amenities are reasonably kept up for what they have to work with. Bathrooms are old but they seem to be kept clean and stocked. Although I was surprised to see they have the newer laundry machines that take debit/credit cards. The roads are very narrow and rutted in places. I'd be nervous driving a big rig through here but it's doable. With all that being said, it still feels outdoorsy and the people were really friendly. Not much going on in the town of Mocksville but it's 20 minutes to Statesville, which should cover most of your needs, or 30 minutes to Winston-Salem which will definitely cover all of your needs. Overall not my first choice in a campground but I wouldn't be opposed to staying here again.
UPDATE: After spending two weeks there I can confirm with a previous review that there's definitely somewhat of a party scene on the weekends. Annual site holders who don't live there come out of the woodwork and party with their neighbors. There's teenagers driving around on carts everywhere.

This campground is part of the Trails Collection available to members of Thousand Trails. The preponderance of RV sites are dedicated to annual and seasonal residents. The roads within the campground are narrow with several tight turns that may challenge a big rig. See YouTube Video uploaded here on Campendium. Verizon cellular service clocked in at 17.4 Mbps download speed and 5.65 Mbps upload speed. AT&T cellular service clocked in at 60.0 Mbps download speed and 9.20 Mbps upload speed.

Worst campground I've ever been too. Streets are so narrow you are constantly afraid you are going to hit something. Sites are extremely small and difficult to get into. The first site they gave us was completely impossible to back in to. It wasn't anywhere near to big enough. We were assigned another very small site and we just left. Lost almost $150 because it was too late to cancel. Mostly annual campers and the whole campground was messy and not nice looking! We will never return and would encourage anyone not to camp here!

Our site was behind the dumpsters.
It's a campground where everyone lives here but us.
Any other site was too small for our 39 ft rig. You will fit if you have a motorcycle, a smart or a beetle.
Sites and road were tight, but manageable with care and caution. Staff and residents are all super friendly. The atmosphere is quiet and laid back. Easy access to town while still maintaining the nature feel. The kids loved the two playgrounds.

We booked this for Memorial Day 2021 completely last minute. Lake Myers was the one and only place we could find with a spot available. Past reviews had me SUPER worried. We arrived around 7pm and their after hours check in was really easy. They had a packet waiting for us with instructions, maps and everything we needed for the weekend.
As other reviewers noted, there are a lot of annual trailers there. Nothing trashy or junky though. This place is huge and if any part of it was in disrepair I never saw it. We made it to our spot, which was nice and level, and set up within 30 minutes. My review would be 5 star except that the hookups were all on the passenger side of a back in spot. Not good. We adapted and overcame with the addition of a new 15’ sewer hose. No big deal. The site, as well as most, were shaded with older hardwoods. Awesome setting and laid back.
Amenities: The pools (4) were all super clean! There is an arcade of sorts with some games. This could be upgraded. There is mini golf that was fun (no cost) a grill with pretty good grub. They have bands on weekends, and the last one was really awesome. There is a small lake which has a dock for fishing. We did not catch anything, but had fun trying.
Our crew was two adults, 13 yo boy and 6 yo girl. Plenty of fun and activities for everyone. We were in a 20’ EPro. If you have a bigger rig, navigation and backing could be a challenge.
The one and only downside I could note is the golf carts. I get that it is somewhat of a necessity given that the place is so big but once the adults start partying, the teenagers take over the golf carts and roam free. I’m sure this happens everywhere. Just annoying. The GREAT thing is that quiet time at 11 is strictly observed and enforced. We would definitely go back again.

All the negative comments had me thinking this would be a total disaster - but it was great! Yes, roads are narrow and tricky to navigate - but have seen 5th wheels and 40 ft Class As with toads all making their way through the park. Yes, sites are not perfectly level - some worse than others - but we worked with it. Yup it's crowded with lots of permanent sites but so is every RV park these days!
I loved the old school campground vibe. Park completely wooded and shady - such a nice change from the parking lots and fields of most RV parks. I imagine satellite might be a problem for some sites but our site B3 had west view through the trees and we got satellite no problem. No problem with cell service either.
Showers and other amenities are older - cement camp buildings - but everything clean and working. People couldn't be nicer, we absolutely loved our stay here.

Only a few miles from the other Thousand Trails campground in the area, but a very different feel. Forest Lake seems much more of a back to nature, while Lake Myers has a more residential vibe. Still, a beautiful lake as well as space to relax. Many seasonal/annual campers, but we enjoyed talking to our neighbors and the park staff as well. Quality laundry facilities and a handy air pump available right at the office. We traded in our travel trailer (which we loved but needed more space) for a motorhome at nearby Campers Inn Mocksville. We would recommend the sales and service there.
