Friendly staff and easy check in. The park itself seems run down. It seemed like mostly permanents although the park was not even half full. I imagine in the high seasons it would get booked up. The pools were shut which was a shame as it was hot. And for the price and the fact it was called a resort I expected them to be open. It is right next to a KOA so woyld be wise to compare them.
Sites seem fairly level or level. Bath houses ok seemed clean. Washers and dryer could do with a good clean. The water in the toilets was brown tinged, which I think would be what has made the washer look so dirty. Thankfully the washing came out clean, I had no choice but to put a few loads on, or we would have run out of clothes.
Free WiFi was pretty much pointless.

Nice clean RV park, landscape lighting makes it nice at night. Laundry and bathrooms clean.
The Lake House restaurant had good crab cakes and steak and was a 2 min walk from our campsite.

12/3-12/4 Palmetto Shores RV Resort.
The campground graciously provided a Good Sam discount upon arrival that I had forgotten about. They provided clear instructions on how to get to the site and offered to help if needed. We set up on a pull through site that was well kept and level and nice. The campground had some fun looking play areas for families and the staff and campers were decorating for Christmas. IT was cheery sight and mad the campground feel even more welcoming. The campground is on the shores of the Santee/Cooper lakes, and we saw a gorgeous sunset while taking a walk along the lake. We had good full bars cell coverage with Verizon and the campground had good Wi-Fi.

We rented two cabins and an rv site. While enroute The office started calling us to see if we would be there soon (the office was still open, I guess they wanted to leave early. We were rushed through check in and given bracelets that have to be worn on premises at all times. Everyone went
to their sites to unpack. Next morning after playing in the lake we went to the pool. There were six children in our party, one with special needs. The life guard at the pool went absolutely nuts yelling at one of the kids because he jumped in the pool and didn’t have the campground floats (this child has Down syndrome and didn’t realize he was doing anything wrong). Then yelled at us because one of the kids didn’t have the wristband. I walked to the office with two of the kids. Very long walk. BAILEY was the employee there. She picked up the phone as we walked in and didn’t acknowledge us AT ALL. She was obviously taking a reservation as she was talking about area attractions and carrying on and on about the “resort”…. Now she takes their payment information - repeating credit card numbers out loud as she typed, I couldn’t believe it!!!! She then reads the credit card number back twice, we heard all the good stuff! Name, expiration dates- ALL OF IT!!! Now she gets off the phone and our presence is truly a bother to her. I explained to her that we were shorted a wrist band upon check in. She now pulls up all of our sites and starts asking me how many people are on each site? (How does this help anything? Wouldn’t you have to look at all our hand to see if there are wrist bands on them?). Now she tells me in front of my kids that this is all my fault for not counting wristband upon check in (they aren’t given to you individually- they are all in a sheet with perforated lines). We may have counted them if we weren’t rushed out of the office upon check in, I couldn’t even buy a soda because the staff was so anxious to close. This girl rolled her eyes at me, let out exasperated sighs and was just one of the rudest people that I have ever encountered at a campground store…. By the way I keep referring to this place as a campground as it is in no way close to being a resort!

Can't say enough about staff. Very friendly, informative, and helpful. Park has a pool and lazy river and on water but also on I-95, the noise of trucks crossing the rough bridge is never ending. Sites have some thin stone but it needs replenishing, game area and pickle ball courts are worn with nets sagging. Price is excessive for condition of park. They should offer some off season pricing. We would stay again but it is big rig friendly and easy access from 95. Restaurant mediocre
