Great location to the park, although there are many campgrounds closer. Not a “mountain meadow” in site. It’s on the side of a mountain. Got a pull through site that was questionable. Had an RV in front of us and had to us 4 wheel drive to get up onto road leaving site. No TV. Sketchy Wi-Fi. Bathrooms were very large and clean. Dog area was nice.

Idyllic little park with an owner- operator “loved” feel, 9 highway miles from West Glacier entrance to GNP. Despite its name, these campsites are tucked deep in the rolling hills of the forest. We were glad to have the escort to our campsite #40. While beautiful and private, #40 was 6.5” off level and tricky to navigate in/out. This park accommodated a lot of big rigs, but novice drivers might be challenged with back-in sites. The showers/laundry/bathhouse was excellent, and the office sold firewood and ice. Friendly people. There was live music at the campground on the week we left- sorry to miss that! Great GNP homebase!

This is a very nice RV park, but unfortunately we were not very happy with our site. We were given a very small site for our 40 ft. 5th wheel, and it was impossible to get level. We have an automatic leveling system, and in our 19 months of full-time travel so far, this was the first time we could not get level. We were staying there for 2 weeks and really wanted to be in a better site, but they said they didn't have anything else available. To be fair, the campground is really nice if you get a better site than we had. The sites are spaced out very nicely with trees so you have some privacy from neighbors. I wish more campgrounds were set up like this one instead of stacking everyone right next to each other with no privacy like most RV parks. Another thing about this park that we didn't like is the "kid tax". That's what our community of fulltime traveling families call it when an RV park charges extra for kids. Since our kids stay inside our RV that we bring with us, it makes no sense for RV parks to charge extra for them. Hotels don't do this and they have an extra bed to make. And this park didn't even have any kid-friendly amenities like a pool or playground so I'm not sure why they charge extra for them. The park has free WiFi which is nice, but we used our Verizon hotspot. Verizon coverage was very good there. It's convenient to the west entrance of Glacier. I also appreciated being able to receive packages there. Since we travel full-time it can be hard to catch up with mail and deliveries so that was a plus. Overall, we would stay here again, but if we do I just hope we get one of the nicer, larger sites.

This park is set up very nicely with plenty of shade and semi private spots. Our spot wasn’t the best and didn’t have sewer hookup, but it was still very nice. There is a pumper truck twice a week to empty your tanks if you don’t have full hook ups, it’s a $10 charge. The staff was friendly and the bathrooms/showers were very nice and really clean. No play equipment for kids, but the stocked pond kept our boys entertained with fishing most evenings. We were there 4th of July and they had a nice fireworks show and cake/ice cream for the holiday.

A beautiful RV park. The space was level and had lots of room. The scenery was gorgeous! The pond was nice to just sit by rest from the day. We were there early season and the park was not very busy. They had put people all over the park so no one was right next to anyone else. Bathrooms were nice and clean. The front office was very friendly. We came in late the first night, and they had our reservation on a board out front. Our site had a picnic table and a fire pit. The first night we were there the Wifi didn't work. I mentioned that in the office the next morning and it was fixed about 5 minutes later! GREAT service! He had mentioned they had just upgraded the whole wifi system. All in all, a great place to stay.

We arrived in May, before the busy season, and the park was already starting to fill up. It's definitely one of the nicest, if not the nicest park in the vicinity of Glacier.
The staff are very helpful and informative, and the park is very well maintained, having just finished paving and putting fresh stone on some of the interior roads. And, the bathroom and laundry are very nice, with the newly remodeled showers being the nicest we have seen anywhere so far.
The sites are very roomy and private, with lots of shade. There is a fish pond in front of the office, with great views of the hills on the other side of the highway. Very quiet, great starry skies, and excellent access to Glacier Park.
Two recommended attractions while in the area, aside from Glacier, are the Hungry Horse Dam and the Montana Vortex. The Dam is an interesting engineering and history lesson, while the Montana Vortex not only has some of the best souvenirs in the area, but also does a pretty good job of attempting to document and explain some truly fascinating phenomena taking place onsite...

Nice small quiet campground close to West Gate of Glacier as well as other things to do and places to see; excellent bathrooms; very helpful and friendly staff; we had a problem with our tow vehicle and they provided an excellent reference; sites are a little small but we didn’t mind because we spent most of our time outting and aboutting; laundry room well kept and affordable

Very pretty, little rustic, everyone is separated from each other. Dog park was nice for our medium sized dogs who need to run and fetch. And we were closest site to the dog park. Pull thru but had to level our rv. Had to get help pulling out—turn right and down a hill. Manageable with one driving and two watching. Bought a hotspot here to be able to watch local news. Would probably stay in West Glacier or Columbia Falls next time. Nothing in Hungry Horse. West Glacier either but at entrance to National Park and has a KOA. Columbia FAlls is farther away but in town with restaurants and activities.

Stayed here from 8/19/19 to 8/26/19. My rate ($48) was the weekly rate. As everyone else has said, the setup of this park is amazing. It feels more like a state park campground or something, as all the sites are divided by tons of trees and the privacy is great. However, some of the sites are very tight. Most of them looked to be fine, but I had site 49 which was a pull-thru but with some really tight turns getting in and out. I have a 26' TT and I don't think I'd try to get anything bigger in that site (or the one next to it, #52). Getting into the dump station was also pretty tight I thought.
Otherwise, I loved everything about this place. The lady working in the office was awesome, the bathrooms/showers were amazing, and the laundry facility was really nice. Also my site was right next to the dog park which was huge! They had a fenced in area and also a large field where I could throw the ball for my dog. The location is also great being only about 15 min from the West Glacier entrance and just a few minutes from Columbia Falls which has restaurants, groceries, etc. The camp store is nice and offers firewood, ice, souvenirs, and kayak rentals. Overall I thought this place was great, but with the awesome layout and trees comes some potentially tight sites.
