It is neat to drive through and look at some of the bridges without your RV, but just be careful.
This park itself had a nice highly wooded layout, but this also led to difficulty driving around. Because our rig is so large, we had some trouble getting around office at check-in as well as getting into our spot. We were supposed to be in A31, but it was fairly unlevel looking so we selected A30 and it was still unlevel. Getting in an out also because quite tough - when we left, we actually backed out of the road in about 200 feet because we did not feel we can pull around a tree on the way out.
The staff and amenities at this park were nice. We were there late in the season so it was pretty empty and quiet, but they are trying to have things to do. Some of the things though, are a bit worn. A nice playground for kids by the beach (of a pond) was cool, but the other small playground was also quite worn out. The dog exercise was the fenced in tennis courts / basketball area - but it was right next to a huge field. That field should just get fenced and make it the dog park.
Bathroom and showers were pretty good. Individual rooms for privacy. Laundry was 2 washers and 2 dryers, but it was in a building that we think was also used for maintenance storage so it smelled pretty bad. We were actually worried our clothes would smell, but they were okay.
At night - almost no lights anywhere, pretty pitch dark. Nice if you are sleeping, not so nice if you need to walk the dog.
Yes, we would stay again, and yes we stayed free because of our Thousand Trails membership, but I think just some information that it is a little bit worn, no good place really for dog to run around, and very hilly - so just prepare yourself.

That's one of our most favorite campgrounds in New England - wonderful spacious and shady spots in the wood and a nice beach with a shallow pond. A perfect place for a nice rest. Not far from Manchester NH. It was free with our Thousand Trails membership.

Arrival was hard for a big rig. We had to block the road with our toad to go around the wrong way on a one way to back in. Roads were very narrow. Site was nice and large once we got in. We have a dish and Verizon MiFi, but this campground charges $4 per day for cable and charges extra for WiFi. If we did not have our own we would have been really bothered. It’s not like they aren’t charging a premium nightly fee already. Lots of seasonal sites if you are looking for that. We probably won’t be back. Too narrow, extra fees for amenities, and too much campfire smoke.
