Great spot right on Lake Ontario. I had a non-electric site in the middle of the campground with no shade. Sites are large in comparison to some state park campgrounds. Sunset over the lake was beautiful. Very quiet in the park overnight. Staff was very helpful - Ladies in the office gave me great tips and brochures on visiting Niagara that really helped me out! Verizon coverage wasn't great. Town of Lewiston and the Fort Niagara are worth a visit when in the area.

We stayed at 4-Mile Creek in mid-July 2024 and found the grounds clean and the lots spacious. There are lot of shade trees but most of the sites are a mix of sun and shade. The office folks, camp store folks and other workers were very friendly and hospitable. The facilities are excellent and spotless. The location is excellent for visiting Lewiston and Niagara (falls and fort) and your campground pass saves you the parking fees at the falls. I cannot think of any negatives as far as the park goes. However, be aware that it is a popular weekend getaway for locals and can be crowded and noisy, with a lot of kids on bikes and E-machines. Drive carefully! Also, when we were there, fireworks were on display Saturday nights. They are visible from the campground and a nice touch to your stay. We would definitely stay here again although probably not over a weekend.

We made a reservation for five nights just to do some sight seeing in the area, but we liked the park so much we added another five nights. The sites are fairly large, and the grounds are beautiful. Since our site was close to a water spigot, we were able to refill our water tank halfway through our stay without having to move the coach. Check their map when reserving to see where the water spigots are. Also, the entire campground is on Google Street View so you can see each site. We had 50 amp service which was nice since it was very hot the first few days of our visit. The showers were modern, clean, and a short walk from our site so we used them every day. It was also a short walk to the shore of Lake Ontario where our dog went for a swim every day, and on clear days we could see the Toronto skyline across the lake. When we checked in, our 50 amp outlet wasn't working, but the 30 amp was. We reported it to the office and in five minutes someone came out, tested it, and replaced the 50 amp breaker and all was well. Great service! We were from out of state so our fee was $29 per night but we thought that was reasonable. We had weak Verizon signal but no AT&T throughout the park. With our cell booster set up we had strong Verizon LTE and medium AT&T 4G (good enough for phone calls, but data was slow). The park filled up during the weekends but was mostly empty on weekdays. Overall we found our stay to be relaxing, peaceful, and quiet, and we almost stayed even longer. In addition to Niagara Falls, be sure to check out Fort Niagara!

This is an absolutely beautiful campground. Not only does is run parallel to Lake Ontario but it has so many wide open spaces to enjoy! The location to Niagara Falls can't be beat nor can the price for what you get. This is a well cared for campground. The restroom/bathing facilities were clean, warm and inviting. The trash bags were emptied continuously and the showers were awesome. Nice warm water for as long as your little heart desires. The views from this place were stunning and it's big enough to get lots of exercise. I will definitely be back. Thank you New York State Parks! http://www.rvlostyet.com

We stayed here while visiting Niagara Falls. Site 331 was a dry site, huge with shade. Shower house was clean and fairly modern. A short walk tools us to views of Lake Ontario. There was some road noise but by quite hours it was nonexistent.

We stayed at Four Mile Creek State Park for three nights while we visited Niagara Falls and other attractions. The park is very large and was not even half full on the September weekend we visited. The grounds are well maintained and spaces have good separation.
There is a large playground for the kids, showers, bathrooms and a small laundry facility. Large trees throughout the park, although privacy between spaces varies from none to well screened. Most of the campground is on a high steep bank above the water, but there is one place you can access a bit of rocky beach. There is also a mile or so (round trip) nature trail through the woods and along a wetland. I would have loved to give this park 5-stars EXCEPT for their arbitrary and rabidly enforced back-in only rule.
We chose a "premium" site along the lake front and pulled in early on a Friday. Having just left another NY State Park (Lake Erie) where we drove in rather than backed in to take advantage of the view – we did the same here. After leveling and setting up in we noticed the camp brochure said all sites were “back in only”. Hmmm… our coach was parked entirely on the gravel, what possible difference could it make which way we were facing??
That evening we were approached by another camper who made it his business to inform us all sites were back in only. He seemed very upset when I questioned what difference it made and he could offer no logical reason, other than “It’s the rule!”. I said if the Rangers wanted us to move we would, he apparently then made a beeline to the camp host who came knocking on our door and demanded we turn our rig around.
We did so, and our wheels and jacks were virtually in the exact same spots as before but we had completely lost our lovely view of the water. Keeping rigs off the grass was the rationale I was given for the back in only rule, but that clearly isn’t relevant for Class A’s. Other Class A campers were also frustrated, so it wasn’t just me! For its arbitrary and inflexible back-in only policy, the park loses at least one star.
We had 3 bars of 3G unboosted, but we managed 3 bars of 4G with the booster.

This state park has great amenities and is right on the lake with some lake view sites. The sites are on grass, so they get a little muddy when there is rain. The 'waterfront' sites are actually not next to the water and we had a site in the 79+ area that had better views of the water.
While, there are not full hook ups, there are electrical sites. The staff is friendly and we enjoyed our stay here.
