Blue Bend Recreation Area Campground

Unfortunately our weather was not the best. Thunderstorms in the area led to muddy creeks and some bugs. Not bad enough to keep us inside the whole time though. This camp backs up to a lovely creek with a dammed pond stocked with fish. We didn’t have a fishing license or gear but there were some guys spending the day there. Also they have created a small beach area that some kids were enjoying.
They told us there were crazy busy over Memorial Day weekend. The have a large primitive group camp area as well.
The bath house in the summer is open but no water or electric on sites. The sites were large, wooded by huge trees. It was very pretty. Also the sites were spaced apart well.
The road getting into the area is narrow and one lane. I don’t know if a big would do it but I am always surprised at the big trailers they seem to try everywhere.
