We came here mid September with no reservations and were pleasantly surprised to find a nearly empty campground that was amazing. This place could fit any size rig, has a network of trails from the back of the campground, beautiful views, a swing set, and is inexpensive. We loved it so much here we ended up staying 5 days instead of 1. We were thinking of camping at Great Basin NP but due to high winds we drove there in a day trip instead. Ely had all the things we needed- groceries and diesel. There has been a handful of other campers while we were here, but overall quiet and peaceful.

Arrived early Spring. No envelopes to fill out for pymts so assumed free.
Very nice camping area with several loops. Graveled and nicely spaced. Group site and RV, big boys site and smaller one. I stayed at both. Got snowed on, no big deal. Apparently hiking and Maybe ORV trails, check local guides.
Town of Ely near by, laundromat towards East end of town, very nice but a little $$$.
Like staying here, cost was good and Illipah Res was a little too windy.
Dry, no hookups no dump n fills.
I used the KOA for water as the dump n fill on the highway was closed, due to winter/early Spring at the Gas station facility. Use the Dump app to find it, forgot the name, like Maverick station.

April 8, 2018. Super clean campground. Here in early spring and water was not yet turned on and was free. Access to 20 miles of trails (hiking and biking). A little road noise but not bad. Campground mostly vacant - one other camper here the night we stayed. Great separation in the sites.

Ok, certain sites are reservation only, others are first come basis. Only 2 water sources in entire campground, bottle, jug, bucket filling only. All water hydrants are shut off until further notice due to Rush Copper Pit draining the aquafir, they have to dig a new well and that won’t even start for more than 2 months from now! Only 2 trash containers in entire campground. Camp sites are awesome: some privacy, gravel, level, shady, easy access, clean, good road off highway 6. Town of Ely is only 6 miles away. Senior National Park Pass accepted. I gave it a 3 because of the water situation. No maps of trails available here.

Not free but a decent site, Few spots on lower loop I can fit my 39' fiftwheel into, upper loop I would not even try to get a large camper/rv in there. Clean bathrooms, plenty of parking and space, clean camp sites with fire pits and picnic table and about a 10-15 minute drive to town to get fuel, groceries, etc if you need or forgot.
I would stay here again and plan on staying here again with my family, summer time can be a little warm and windy but still a great experience.

Ford F-350 pulling a 30’ trailer with 3 slides and site #10 in the RV area was easy to access. We were one of 3 campers during our stay May 2019 and no water was available.

Each camp site has lots of room. My dog does not wander into the next site while on his long lead. It is quiet here. We bring our own water, which is good since the campground currently has two potable water storage containers because they are digging new wells.

We’ve stayed here multiple times and really like it. Clean, quiet and spacious. Verizon 4G. Cooler in summer and decidedly chilly in early winter. Seem to have more water issues though I noticed two new large walk up water tanks as potable. The spigots along the toad are labeled not drinkable. Seems to me they just raised the price to $8 per night from $5 last late October.

Not sure why it says on here there is a 28 foot limit. There were several sites that would hold large size vehicles. Price with Golden pass.
We camped here Nov 17, 2019. Only 3 people camped. One tent in loop C. Two of us in Loop A.
Loved camping among the pinion trees. Little road noise. No water. Pit toilets very clean. Lots of trails. Would definitely come back!
