Enjoy quartzite rock formations along Split Rock River and interesting architecture of the WPA featuring a dam with waterfall, bathhouse, bridges and rock wall with flower garden. The quartzite used in the structures was hand quarried locally. Primitive camping, canoeing, fishing, hiking, picnicking are just some of the activities to enjoy with your family

Beautiful park for a day visit but camping leaves something to be desired. Do NOT choose site 25, it is basically a dirt patch between the camping road loop ends with no privacy and almost no room for a tent. Fire pit was full of trash when I arrived. Campsites have very little level ground. The portapotties were less smelly than the on site vault toilets but absolutely overrun with flies. The showerhouse has been turned into information and gift shop. Train is *extremely* close to campsites, it sounds like it’s rolling right over you.
Affordable but not worth it.
