We were excited to stay here over the 4th of July and had booked many months in advance. When we arrived we were put into a water/electric site even though we had booked a full hook up site. When we asked why we were moved, we were told we booked water/electric. We knew for sure we’d booked a site with sewer. We believe we were moved to accommodate a caravan, as other campers said they faced the same situation. Going without sewer meant having to reconnect to use the dump station which is not a big deal. It also forced us to use the bathhouse more often. The one bathhouse has four toilet/shower combos and one stand alone toilet. They are unisex and serve a large campground. It was rare when there wasn’t a line to use the bathroom and at times it was a long wait.

We also had to wait to use the laundry facilities. Three washer/dryer combos were constantly in use. The services were woefully inadequate for the size of the campground.

Finally, if you are looking for peace and quiet this is not the place. The campground is adjacent to a large dog sledding kennel and at times the dogs are very loud. We love dogs and travel with two but this was another level.

In hindsight we would have been better off at the Seward waterfront.

When we tried to cancel four days prior to our stay we were told that the entire $280 deposit was nonrefundable. They cited a passage in the confirmation e-mail that said seven day cancellation $10 cancellation fee. Immediately below that it indicated that if you would like to cancel call a number 48 hours before your arrival and your entire deposit would be refunded minus the $10 cancellation fee. I pointed out that their confirmation apparently stated two things, they did not care and took the entire $280.

This is a very nice rv park. Very clean, nice bathrooms and shower.
The only complaint is not enough bathrooms for this large of an rv park. There would sometimes be a line waiting for the shower. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay here.
