Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on July 20, 2023Quartz Creek Campground sits between Kenai Lake and Quartz Creek. It’s a beautiful location with water access and views. When we arrived on a Saturday, the campground was full, but we lucked into a cancelled reservation for a waterfront site.
Pros: beautiful location, large sites.
Cons: can be packed on the weekends with reservations, cell service is pretty iffy and wasn’t fast enough for working. Bathrooms aren’t maintained very well. Dump station costs an additional $8.

We lucked in to a site here for the weekend. Last minute cancellation that was actually a double which is why the cost was $28. Many paths very close to the river. We didn’t use he showers or bathrooms so I can’t speak to them. Large sites nicely spread out. Kayaked on the beautiful Kenai Lake.

This is a really nice campground, the hosts are very good people and take care of this place. The lake is seen from this site and we can get cell service and LTE. Grizzly in the area so watch out while walking around.... this place fills up very quickly thru reservations online but talk to hosts about cancelations. We have been able to stay here quite a few times this year by working with the campground hosts. Sites are clean!

Stayed here for a week enroute from Homer to Seward. Very nice, well kept, clean campground on the shores of Kenai Lake. Camp hosts are very nice and helpful. There are $18 and $28 a night sites, but with our Golden Access Pass only $9. The $28 sites are very large and can accommodate 2 RVs. There are several restrooms with flush toilets, bear proof trash stations, and pressurized (not threaded) potable water spigots throughout. There is also a RV dump and potable water station on the entry road. There are always a few sites kept at 'walk ins' as was ours. I would still recommend reservations.Town is (groceries/laundry) only 3 miles to the west although there is a small gift shop, café with gas pumps at the entry. Cell signal here is an enigma. When the weather is nice it is very good, but when the weather is cloudy or poor, for get it...….nada.

Loved, loved, loved this campground. The sites were well spaced. They had clean pit toilets as well as several flush toilets. Potable water available at several locations. Boat dock for the lake. A salmon viewing platform on the river side. Bill enjoyed fly fishing. He caught 8 dolly Varden. Some are first come first serve while others are reservable. Get there early if possible and during the week. In high traffic months, it’s full by Friday.

So nice to have level sites. The campground host , Jerry, was so helpful. We came here without a reservation and the host had a list of sites available for our stay. It is so nice to pull into a site that you pay for and not need to use leveling blocks. Nice and quiet. There were just a few small airplanes during the day.

This was a nice campground on Kenai Lake. There is a boat landing and a small airport nearby. I only heard a few planes. The bathrooms have real flushes. The Forests Service has removed the diseased spruce, so not a lot of trees, but the sites are well spaced so no big deal. I prefer an open space as that keeps the bugs down and lets the sun work its magic on the solar.
