We reserved a one-night stay 6 weeks in advance for the Friday night of Memorial Day Weekend. We received a call 2 weeks before our stay telling us they won't honor the reservation because they've decided to impose a three-night minimum for the holiday weekend. We would either have to come a day early or cancel the reservation. Many times we could be flexible, but this is one time we're not due to family and business commitments. Now, of course, it's impossible to get a night at another park. We can't speak to the experience staying at the park, but be advised that your reservation is very loose and there may be last minute changes in policies.

This campground is lovely and shaded- as long as you are ok with 30amp. For the 50amp spots, there was no shade and sites were very close together. Not terrible for a brief stay, but not somewhere you’d want to spend too long, especially during a hot spell. We couldn’t even extend our awnings without them touching the rig next to us.No picnic tables or fire rings at the 50 amp sites, but one common table under a large shade tree behind our site...but the staff was helpful and courteous. Also a small assortment of RV supplies for sale in the office.
Mahomet is a nice little town and Lake of the Woods park and golf course are just two minutes away with plenty of trails and fishing.
Most folks were in and out, we stayed longer to be close to family.

For first time on 3 week trip we had no camping reservation We we’re finding no campgrounds til we found Tin Cup When we called the lady said she was just about to leave but would stay til we arrived they then jumped in their cart and lead us to our site in the dark They even offered to help us hook up It’s nice to know there are still nice people around! Very nice shaded site with full hook ups picnic table and fire ring Glad Tin Cup was there

Pretty relaxed atmosphere so long as you drive 5mph. Lots of long term and lots of one nighters.

Stopped for the night. Arrived after 5 and only spoke to owner by phone. She was so nice and helpful. No frills campground but we are no frills campers. All grass and gravel. Did not use any facilities. We did get to experience a storm complete with hail. Sounded so much worse than it was.

The proximity of the Lake of the Woods Preserve is a real plus. Also, close to the Village of Mahomet, I74, neighborhood to walk and ride bikes. The campground was clean and quiet. Laundry room was clean & AC on-machines seemed new and worked.
