Iconic Attraction
Our Take
You’re never too cool to stop and appreciate the Statue of Liberty… even if you’re a native New Yorker, it’s worth visiting (gasp) on your own without a friend from out of town. If you’re trying to get a good view of it for less time and money, the views from Battery Park or the Staten Island Ferry can’t be beaten. But that being said, nothing compares to standing at its base and looking up at the giant Lady Liberty. The boat tours out to the statue also include a stop at Ellis Island, which makes for an interesting and impactful day of sightseeing.
