North Carolina just might be the prettiest state in the Union, and the Statesville/I-77 KOA - with easy access on and off the interstate - invites you to settle in and enjoy it for a while. Explore the verdant Blue Ridge Mountains that roll off to the west. Take to the waters of nearby Lake Norman for a little boating and fishing or play a round of golf at lush area courses. Thrill the kids with a day at Carowinds theme park (about an hour away). Explore Old Salem Moravian Village. Ready to shop? North Carolina is famous for its furniture outlets. Time your visit for race day at Charlotte Motor Speedway or the National Hot Air Balloon Rally. Then recharge at KOA, where camping is easy, thanks to level sites, air-conditioned Camping Cabins, a fenced pet area (with shelter) for large and small dogs as well as a playground and a game room to keep the kids entertained. Pool: Memorial Weekend - Labor Day Weekend. Max pull thru: 65 feet.

Stayed 1 night as a stop over on the trip north. Facilities were kept well and staff were always helpful. We had a bunch of laundry to get through as the last location’s machines didn’t work. Relief to have this place to get it all done! Pet friendly and good wifi access.
Close to highway so great for access, but lots of road noise at night if you want to sit for a while outside.

We stayed here in our 38' motorhome with toad. Our pull thru site had plenty of room so we did not unhook. Our site, #9 was roomy with a picnic table. We did not use any other facilities, staff was nice and everything looked clean, we had full hookups. It was close to the interstate but did not hear a lot of highway noise in our spot.

Arrived after office closed, had to hunt for campsite. Site was recently blacktopped and wasn't even close to level. We had to use Anderson leveling buckets only on front of motorhome to level. The next morning my leveling buckets had sunken into the asphalt as it had not been properly compacted. I called the office on my departure and nobody answered so I left a message. Later that day the owner texted me 25 times with threatening and demeaning messages. Later the owner charged my credit card $500.00 arbitrarily for "damage". Avoid this KOA at all costs.
