Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on March 21, 2022This is a literal full camping resort place (paid via RPI camp membership discount). The public use lodge looked like something out of a movie set, and you can use it to just read books or hang around lounge. The grounds are immaculate, with all amenities working well (pool still closed but looks clean). The camp store was well stocked at all times with everything you need (as the nearest store is half hour away).
The place should be used as the gold standard of campgrounds that all should aspire to. Laundry machines all work well. The only problem we could find were the showers, as they use old still shower heads and the water will run out if you take a long shower (tank hot water?). Neighbors seem polite and respectful, but each site is a little crowded (within a few feet for some).

This was the best camping site I’ve been in, staff extremely friendly, grounds extremely well maintained, lots of activities for all ages, pool was clean and well keep. Had beautiful cabins , a pond , mini golf, shuffle board, play ground, horse shoe pits, store was well stocked , laundry room, activity room & group hall. Would highly recommend this to anyone!

What a great place. We reserved Sycamore Lodge through RPI included with our Thousand Trails membership. We payed $140 total equating to $10 a night. We stayed on site 55 which is a large gravel site with 50 amp, water and sewer. We stayed mid March to April. The campground was quite on the weekdays and busier on the weekends.
This resort has lots of activities for families including putt putt, corn hole, ping pong, volleyball, horse shoes, basketball, playground, pool, shuffleboard, video games, billiards, foosball and more. Also weekend movie nights, bands and church service. Resort also includes a fishing pond, cabins and walking/biking trails.
Good Verizon and better ATT service. Very friendly staff too.
We would definitely stay here again.

50th Review--woo hoo!
We stayed here on our way from Florida to New England. I bought a used membership to Travel Resorts of American with Sycamore Lodge and look forward to using it in the future both in NC and at TRA and Coast-to-Coast sites. Sycamore Lodge offers quite a bit--a lake, a pool, well-kept up miniature golf and horseshoes. a ball park, and trails. We needed to use an airhose for our toad and they had one available right by the propane tank--nice! The staff really helped us out with questions and issues we took to them about our reservation. We wanted to extend a day because of an unexpected death in the family; they accommodated us very politely and helpfully.
We did have some relatively minor issues with other campers. Not worth going into detail but an annoyance that can happen at any park. I did appreciate all the space at the site and the layout of the park as a whole.
