Ratings Summary
We stayed here for 5 weeks. We really liked how sheltered it was, the wind was never a problem. The trees also really cut down on the highway noise. The park was always quiet, with the exception of Thanksgiving weekend. We plan to return again for spring and fall this year. The only downside for us, was that we had to drive if you wanted to go anywhere outside the park. Also, some of the corners are tight for larger rigs.

We stayed three nights with friends, 8/9-8/11/2019, to be near Skaha Lake. Our friends were doing the Skaha Lake Ultraswim, and we were there to support them, kayaking and cheering.
We had made reservations for sites #134/135, near the end of a row at the upper campground. Full hook up. We had reserved back in November, and found the staff to be very friendly and helpful.
The campground has a few scattered trees, providing filtered shade. The campground has paved roads, and the sites are covered in gravel. The entrance could be a bit tight for some larger rigs, but we did fine with our 26 foot trailer and pick up.
Check-in was with a very friendly staff member. The office has coffee and snacks, ice cream. Adjacent to the office is a fenced area for use as a dog park, with nicely kept grass.
The excitement started on the days leading up to our trip, with the news about a wildfire in the area. The campground was in an evacuation alert area! The campground staff was quick to respond to my emails, reassuring me that they were still open.
The campground is on the main road from the US to the Penticton area, but the campground was quiet. Or, at least, the road noise was not noticeable. It was noisy due to the helicopters flying over the area, carrying buckets of water to fight the fire! They started shortly after sunrise, and went one day until sunset, flying directly over the campground. We could see some smoke just over the ridge! Made for an exciting stay!
Our friend had an amazing swim at the event, taking fourth overall and setting a new course record for his age group by 12 seconds, for the 11.8 km course!
The campground has an upper and lower area. Our dog enjoyed the dog park but was not welcome in the lower area, or the lake area.
The campground has a bath house, which is clean, if a little older.
This isn't the "camping" experience we typically enjoy, as the sites are next to one another, without privacy. We would, though, consider staying again in the future.
The campground would get 3 stars overall, if it weren't for the friendly and responsive staff, getting them to 4-star rating!
