Pierre

Pierre, South Dakota's state capital, has a variety of food and cultural spots of interest. Be sure to visit the beautiful State Capitol building, Missouri River, Oahe Dam, and the South Dakota's Cultural Heritage Center (state history museum). In addition to a renowned pasta restaurant and outstanding steak places, Pierre has a variety of locally run burger joints, pizzerias, delis, and bakeries. Although 30 miles north of the main interstate, it is certainly worth the trip!
