The Meramec River and Calvey Creek bound Roberstville State Park, creating unlimited outdoor opportunities. Boat launches and easy water access make fishing and boating along the peaceful Meramec easy. The park's landscape includes scenic bluffs along the river, and a patchwork of hardwood forests, rich river bottomlands, and clearings that date to when the park was a working farm in the early 1900s. Waterfowl lovers love Robertsville for the diversity of birds that use the park’s waters, and families love Robertsville’s quiet campgrounds and picnic areas.

Needed a place to sleep that wasn't too many miles off the interstate. This is a beautiful little park, I wish we could stay longer. I almost want to ditch my trailer because the tent spots are gorgeous. I didn't think we'd find a state park open in December, but this one is open all year. Over 65 gets a $2 discount.

We stayed here one night. Seniors get a $2 discount, there is a $8.50 reservation fee. All RV sites are back-in, lots of shade. Some may be a little difficult to back into because of the ditches alongside the driveways and the road is narrow to maneuver backing turns. All RV sites are electric only with 6 water fill sites in the loop, there is a dump station. Unfortunately for us the water was turned off in all but one water fill due to construction. Camp host took me to a water fill site on his golf cart to fill some containers. Campground is quiet although there are trains about a mile away but did not bother us. I would stay here again if in the area.

Park is ok for day use. Too noisy for peaceful camping. Campsites are on a ridge with direct earshot of the highway, the freight trains, and fire station.

Electric sites are nice. Basic sites are mostly steep and uneven.

Shady and beautiful with a lovely hiking trail. This place is out of the way and quiet. Yes, there is a train about a mile away, but that isn’t disruptive.

There are deep ditches that one must be mindful of when backing. Some of the campsites have beautiful balconies overlooking a green space.

The camp hosts were so nice and very knowledgeable. Verizon worked ok.

You may want to do grocery shopping before you get here unless you are ok with whatever Dollar General has in the way of groceries.

We would stay here again.

Have to make reservations; paid $21 for electric, plus $8.50 fee, got $2 off 65+. Sites have to be backed into, and very hard to get into from the angles and steep sides. We only have a 17’ trailer, but took 3 bites to get it in. I chose #13 because the water was near—a mistake. Had people walk through my site to get to it. Yes, you can hear a train go by and some faint road noise if outside. A fan can drown it out. Some tent sites have a deck to be on! Handicap sites are concrete and wide. The Camp Hosts come around on a golf cart and are nice and helpful. The reserved sites say so on the site # post. If site is available, it says so also. Nice and relaxing. You get locked in at 9pm but are given a nightly emergency code. Have various bathroom buildings and a shower building.

You drive down what feels like a country road to get to a park that is very heavily wooded and you think ahhhhhh nature, it’s going to be sooo peaceful. Well, you would be wrong about Robertsville State Park.

Even though you are like 4 miles from hwy 44 and 1/4 mile from hwy O, you can hear every truck jake breaking, every car that goes by, every motorcycle revving, as well as people that live nearby shooting guns and riding ATVs. And let’s not forget the daily train going by. We just want you to know so you aren’t surprised.

We love Missouri state parks and this is well-kept up. One nice thing is the flush toilet bathroom is open year-round and is heated in the winter. We visited Christmas week for six days/5 nights. The shower house is not open but that is OK. Missouri state parks also use excellent toilet paper. I never feel like I have to bring my own.

We stayed on disabled site 27 which is right next to the open bathroom. 26 Next-door is a really nice site with a very large gravel, for lack of a better word, yard. There is so much space at each site and they are a nice distance from each other.

Each site has a fire pit, a picnic table, a lantern pole, a grill and are reasonably level. You still will probably have to use a little something. You do have to back up a slope before being level on the electric sites and down a hill to get to basic sites. Oh there is a drainage ditch that runs on both sides of the road so you do have to be careful backing in.

There is a community fire pit with lots of fancy cut Flintstones looking seating around it up near the shower house. Beautiful. There are hiking trails and a fair distance from the campground is river access, a large pavilion and a playground as well. We drove to the river because it feels like a steep hill both ways. Ain’t nobody got time to walk that.

They have recycling. I don’t know if there is Wi-Fi but we couldn’t ever get any. I have sprint and at most I would get one or two bars. My husband has Verizon and he pretty much got no signal.

There is no camp store and Dollar General is close, walking distance for some and they have anything you might need.

So, will we visit again? Maybe. Babler is pretty close to St. Louis as well and is quieter.

We stayed in a travel trailer.

I'm traveling this summer in just a minivan (Toyota Sienna), so driving long days and not knowing for sure where I'll make it to each evening. When I stop for sleeping I don't need much, but rest-areas are too noisy and I prefer a quiet, shaded nature-y place like this for solid sleep, and to wake up with a nature walk option before hitting the road again. Robertsville lake state park was perfect for that!

Some other review said it's noisy here but the only noises I heard were the abundant crickets, frogs, birds, and other forest critter activity. I like that kind of noise.
The campsites were well nestled in trees so I felt there was a good buffer from the other campers.

BUT... I only managed to sleep here out of luck it seems! I didn't have a reservation, and I'd had car trouble that day so I didn't roll in until about midnight. In the morning when I found the camp-host to pay the very reasonable fee, she informed me that they usually lock the gates at 8-ish so she was surprised someone had left them open and I unknowingly lucked out by getting in!

If you have a reservation ahead of time she says there's a code they give you to unlock the gate... but I didn't get that experience so not sure how smoothly that would go. So, if you're traveling with less structure or doing more evening driving, this might not be the best choice. I do wish I'd had more time to enjoy it, as the park seemed really lush, and It was the best sleep and nature time of my long drive so far.

Booked on line on way out of St Louis. Easy checking and pretty quiet small camp. Not sure about the loud comments on the earlier posts maybe different time of year? We had no issues- drove to boat ramp next morning and enjoyed beautiful Meramac river.

Check in online was easy and worked great. Campsites are nice, but the Comfort Stations need a major update.

We camped a couple of nights in early October. We enjoyed hiking the trails within the park and the proximity of Robertsville SP to the trails at Don Roberts SP. Our site was nicely wooded.
