The view of the bay was spectacular, definitely worth staying at least one night. Bathrooms needed some cleaning, and are utilitarian. Neighbors on both sides had lots of noisy kids on a weekday. If possible, come and scout the site before paying or take your chances if reserving it online. If you want privacy, stay in a wooded site away from the water

Winslow park campground is way south of Freeport almost to Yarmouth between the Harraseeket river and Casco bay. Playground picnic area boat ramp and beach. No hookups but dump station rest rooms and dump station available. Harraseeket lunch and seafood dock nearby is a must see old school Maine lobsta pound. Lobster is Not cheap anywhere! The Chinese have fallen in love with it.

Nice trails in the park for taking the dog out of the immediate campground area. Biked into Freeport from the campground. Kayaking had to be timed according to tides. Approx 9 ft surge, so bay on the back side of the campground peninsula periodically was empty of water.

Winslow Park & Campground was a nice space to spend a week on the water. The waterfront sites were somewhat close together but had great views. We were on an inner loop and despite having neighbors on both sides at one point they were spaced out well so we didn’t feel too close. The park has a beach and a playground, unfortunately dogs are not allowed on either. There is plenty of exploring to do along the shores of the beach that we enjoyed. The grounds were clean and the staff friendly. The noise from other campers minimal. They’re strict on their check in/check out times and have a decent sized list of rules.
It was a short ride to Portland and Brunswick so great location for us. We’d stay here again but we’d like it if they were a bit more dog friendly.

Wonderful dry campground in Freeport, right on the water. Great camp hosts and park ranger on site. Strict generator and quiet hours enforced. Clean bathrooms and very well maintained grounds. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. The sites feel appropriately spaced so you’re not on top of your neighbor. There are no first come, first serve sites here so booking ahead is a must. Potable water and dump station on site for campers. Would absolutely camp here again! Great area!

We've camped at Winslow Memorial Park twice and plan to do so again. The park is well maintained and the views are spectacular. There's a nature trail around the park that makes for an easy walk. All of this located within convenient travel distance from many activities.

Note: We camped here with a 31' class C. We would have been comfortable bringing our 42' 5th wheel here, but there are only a few sites where it would fit well.
This is a dry campground with various water stations and a single dump station. The bathrooms are clean and the showers are warm. The "Tea House" is a small cabin with indoor seating and wifi. The wifi was good enough for 3 people to have videos calls. The cell service is hit or miss and we were not comfortable working there with only our Verizon phones.
This is a fairly quiet campground at night and was pretty busy during the day. There is a day use area with a large playground, picnic tables, grills, and parking. There's also a boat ramp, boat parking ($4/day, $10/night), beach, and outdoor pavillion.
Generators are allowed for the following: 8-9am, 11-1pm, 5-7pm. Bring your solar panel to keep your batteries fresh during the day.

There were a few large 5th wheels and trailers in this Park but it is best for tenters and smaller RVs. The bathrooms are individual with a toilet, sink and shower. They are cleaned in the morning but do deteriorate during the day as they are used. Still, not bad. There is also a dishwashing sink which is a great convenience. Lovely walk along Casco Bay as well as a trail through the woods. The only downside was how unlevel my site was. I was able to get my trailer level with some maneuvering. Overall, this is a wonderful place to stay.

Nice location near the beach and a nice lakeside park. Most of the sites near the water appear to be seasonal or long-term, so if you are staying for only a few nights, you probably won't get one of the better locations. We were on a grass site with an electric-only site but there are plenty of water stations. Bathrooms are private but only so-so for cleanliness. Very quiet away from the beach.

Regret that only 1 night was available. But, that 1 night was almost a full moon. Quiet, lovely experience. We dry camp about 50% of the time, so no need inconvenience. Cost is as high for dry camping, but we splurged. Grass parking, but it had been dry recently. No issues with 40’ Class A
Lobster at Jameson Tavern was yummy!
