“passionately brewed craft beer”
Craft beer is exploding across the nation and across our own state of North Carolina. Skull Camp Brewing is very excited to bring the love and passion of craft beer to the Mt. Airy area. In July of 2011, a group of friends who love craft beer, decided to come together and pursue an opportunity to bring craft beer to their community. The lack of accessible craft beers in Mt. Airy and surrounding areas, gave that group a desire to provide our area with more than just craft beer, but a craft beer experience! Owners of Round Peak Vineyards Ken Gulaian and Kari Heerdt, have partnered with brewers Kent Yocco and Jeff Leftwich to form Skull Camp Brewing. We are all very excited to share our love of the craft beer world and all its many styles with our community! On May 17th 2012, Skull Camp Brewing received its brewing license. We are currently brewing on a SABCO Brew-Magic pilot system and with an expansion already in process we hope to have a 7bbl brew house by January 1st, 2013.
