Best time to visit is during the winter season. Otherwise it's too darn expensive. I stayed before it burnt down, so I'm not sure what the facilities look like now, but I'm sure it is an improvement. You're paying for the view here, but it's worth it. Now I'd bet the facilities are much better, since they had to rebuild. I had a mountain view site, but every site you can see the ocean from.

I stayed here a few years ago before it burnt down in the fire. It was reasonable in price during the winter months, but summer it's outrageously priced. The view can't be beat, but again, for the common folk it's just really priced out of the market.

I stayed here to take my daughter and her friend to Coachella last year. Very nice facilities and definitely affordable. Way out of the way though.
