Very large modern stop. Vending machines (chips, sodas, coffee, misc drinks) free maps of Iowa, play area outside. Lots of room for rv’s. Free dump! Just 1/2 hr or so north of Des Moines. Roads are nice too- thx!
Tucked away gem. Huge lot probably getting ready to make an rv park. Tons of easy level parking. Agree with other reviews. Also new smooth road from I-5.
Town of Colusa is great. 2 dntwn parks, 1 with a pool. Jeff’s burgers looks wonderful too. The casino is larger than we expected, newer and pretty. On our way back we’ll stop inside! After covid I hope.

Long haul on I-70 this was nice! Free, fresh water also. Took a minute to find it, by the grass in Wendy’s side. Leave thru the truck exit for easy return to freeway. Strange overpass. Will remember this one!
Update: 9/2021
Easy dump- potable water is very nice!
Store is large. Normal trucker stuff plus gifts (Oakley stuff, whole toy section! Food stuffs, & a Wendy’s!) Parking lot was clean at Wendy’s, not so much where semis were!
Go out thru the semis on west side- easiest return to I-70. Walgreens across street- handy. Blue beacon truck / RV wash on N side of I-70. Turn left into TA and follow around back. Can be a long line! There’s another on I-435 N if you’re going that way.
23 mi.
A good 3-4 hrs from DC/NOVA area (with traffic on East coast) perfect for a days rv driving.
Easy off turnpike in gorgeous area. Full h/u, nice pool, rec area & tables.
Seasonals made place look cozy.
Good communication with Bette & son Dan. He’s great & helpful leading us in an easy loop to our spot. Wish we could’ve spent a week or so here just decompressing!

Our 2nd time here. Level, lit, security, great scenery. 3 nights max, have to register with security inside. Right off 101, nice for sightseeing Ave of Giants, Ferndale, Eureka... too bad Loleta Cheese factory is closed - perm, it was our favorite!

Just an update. Still a fav place. No more than 10 others in big lots even on wkends. Quiet, beautiful surroundings.
We stayed out of the casino this time as it was just over being a covid hotspot. Still waiting for the seafood buffet to open up.
The dump is hard to get to for big rigs.
Scout it out first!
Bellingham is 15-20 min away. Lots of groc stores & Walmart. Lots of restaurants & churches.
Twin sisters creamery 10 min (best homestead & blue cheese!) also Appel creamery 20 min ( Gouda is really good)
Plenty of thrift stores, u pick blueberry farms,
Seafood markets, flowers etc. Fun!
A few semis 8-8 RVs lots of cars. Good visitor type entrance. Lots of pamphlets & books, & maps.
Also vending machines. Very nice area and picnic tables for a planned stopped
Huge lot for RVs just off I-90. Park in SE lot. Only 3 other trailers besides us on a Fri! Just enough slope in some spots for our 40’ fifth wheel so we didn’t have to unhook. Very level sides. Lots of grass, dog kennels, free dump.
Walmart across street a ways (I’d drive) and a couple of fast foods. McDs back under freeway, big rig friendly. Great fir long haul cross country. Thank you again Cabela’s!
