The large trees gives you the appearance that your camping in the forest, until the train comes by. The sites are more spacious than other KOA campgrounds. About every hour or two a freight train makes a visit at all hours of the day and night. Our usual campground in the gorge away from the train tracks and highway was full so we ended up here. For one to two nights we would stay here again in a pull thru site and lose a little sleep.

Nice KOAish campground but better. Right along the Methow River. Fenced dog park, corn hole boards, horseshoe pits, basketball court and large playfield. Sites are a close together and clean. Next to Hwy 20 so some road noise during the day. Most sites are pull thru for guys like me spending one or two nights here. Back in sites along the river seem to used by longer term RVers and that's okay. Ten minute drive to the cool western town of Winthrop. Will stay here again on the way to North Cascades from Eastern Washington.

We booked a pull-thru site but after getting here early we requested and got a back in site for more privacy. Excellent Wi-Fi in the campground to stream movies. Free shuttle to the casino and museum. Large FHU sites with a picnic table and no fire pit. The casino is smoke free so I figure they don't want their guests smelling like a campfire.
