But a bit far from the city of Nanaimo. Great place to cool of after visiting the north of the island, prior to getting a ferry close by (45 minutes away). Levelled site and shaded mostly. Nice river falls hike to walk around, quiet for the most part.

2023-05-15: arrived early (good thing)! Road is very long and sinuous but you get there and bisons are awaiting next door! Amazing! We saw antilopes on the road as we drove in, mid day. 30Amp ok, water at main visitor pavilion. Well laid out but windy! Awnings? Not possible! Sunny? Plenty! Animal visitors? Everywhere you look for! Amazing!

As previously said, safe place to wander about to McCarthy without your Rv…you leave it at the park and drive to and back, but not in 1 day (too long a drive for us) so we stayed in a tent that we brought just for that! McCarthy is fun! But the Kennecott mine tour is amazing! What they achieved in the early 1900 is simply put: incredible! Worth the 50$/night to leave the Rv behind!

Great campground, secluded campsites…or not, depending on what you want! Not expense I’ve, big Rv friendly, close to Winnipeg (about 30 minutes away), secure and great for biking/bikers/tenting/rver.

Do you want to bike into Saskatoon downtown? If yes, this is the place to camp for a few nights! Right next to a great area, flat and most of all accessible to all centres in town. Shaded, secluded sites, easy access. What a great place!

Great place to stop on the way up to Whitehorse on the Steward-Cassiar HWY. We came in late n’a d managed to get a nice lakeside lot with a direct vue for our long 55feet rig. Back up was simple, fees was 20$ paid cash and the view was priceless!

It si what it is! A parking lot, with angle parking, first come first serve, with no amenities…but incredibly close to “everything” you need in Fairbanks. We paid 12$US/night, stayed to refresh/replenish after Denali, and would stay again for it offers. Maybe a bit noisy, but nothing a good earplug will not do!

This place is very secure, and recommended by the Toumbstone Ranger to leave the RV and drive the Dempster Highway to Tuktoyaktuk!
No frills, cheap, safe and simple. Laundry is OK, with newer front loading machines 4$ a load. We stayed in the back with no service and its was fine.
Would probably not stay longer - but the car wash facilities are fine (2 hoses with great pressure).

Very nice area to chill, and relax. Sites are far apart, under trees (so not very good for solar) but clean and levelled. Water spikes not too far/good tasting water. Not too expensive for what it delivers: a great dry camping experience!

Very well shaded Rv sites, good for our 30 ft long RV, with plenty of space to spare! Fire ring but not fire possible due to forest fires! Nice tables on a cement platform. Gravel sites are well levelled.
