Im not a Cubs fan, but glad I visited this historic park before renovations. Enjoyable
many hiking trails, Lake Pierce is good fishing,but dirty, polluted, and campground is overcrowded and filthy.

The city of Kenosha has done a wonderful job of cleaning up the current brownsfield once home to AMC MOTORS. Wonderful place to visit year round but can still be rather chilly in the Spring time due to the lake temp. Still has some historic beach buildings as well as new museums worth your time.
Located in a gated community, Candlewick Lake is not open to the general public and HO's have to pay additional dues to use the lake. What started as a gated retirement community with unique houses has turned into an overcrowded mess of ranch houses with a highly polluted lake and no fresh water to paying residence. The HOA recently tried to tap into the treatment plants of neighboring villages to no avail because they still wanted to keep the lake closed to the general public while feeding off of their fresh water supply.
