There aren’t many places where you can park your bum in one state, your legs in another two states and your head on a fourth.... *yes it made for quite a photo!

Feels a bit like it was plonked in the middle of nowhere, but amongst all the rocks and dust is a unique little tourist spot worth checking out, even if it is for the photo or to support the local stalls.

Absolutely loved the the museum! We drove all the way to Roswell just to say we'd visited the town and the museum... I grew up in South Africa and as a kid dreamt of some day visiting Roswell!

Make sure you have at least 2hrs to spare as you will want to read every single article, report, newspaper clipping etc etc.. The fact that so many newspaper clippings etc have been preserved and are on display in the museum is incredible.

The various pieces that trace the history of UFOs and the Roswell 'crash' are mind-blowingly interesting! You will find yourself totally absorbed at the stories and scale of what went down in Roswell in 1947...

Totally worth the entrance fee and totally worth every minute you are prepared to spend here.... oh and definitely have a photo with the aliens!

Saw the old station from the new road as we drove past. It is merely a drive-by photo opp these days... if you want to stop, you'll have to drive past a mile or so before you can turn down onto the old Route 66 road and back up to the station.

Just down the road is the replica station, complete with a restaurant that is dedicated to Route 66. We stopped here for breakfast and the place was totally packed with travelers. Definitely stop for the experience and check out all the memorabilia, a ton of effort has gone into preserving the spirit of the old mother road here... great to see and experience.

Made a stop here in October 2013 as we cruised the the route recommended by the Roadtrippers U.S Route 66 Guide.

Great place to stop and stretch the legs. It's free and there are a few places to sit and chill with a great view of the little lake and the great big massive hand-crafted blue whale. Wish we could work out what the old fella was thinking when he built it, definitely wins the prize for most random site ever!

oh, and there's also well maintained ablutions. Glad we popped in to take a photo, now its ticked off from the Bucket List! :)

Definitely one of the most happening bars in Nashville! Three floors of entertainment and drink to keep you going until closing time! It is usually packed, but the bar areas are well positioned to make grabbing an ale easy and painless. Music and dancing are the order of the day but you're equally at home if you're looking to watch some sport on the TV....

My advice would be to get here early and start your evening at the Honky Tonk before moving off to the less crowded, more traditional Nashville bars..

Our tour guide “Brandy” .... took us around this famous whiskey distillery where we got to see each step in the process that Uncle Jack developed. The history and the amount of information shared with us was staggering. It was a flippin awesome experience! We even got to see the safe which Jack kicked and which ultimately killed him. I would thoroughly recommended stopping here if you are driving past. And its free! Loved every minute of it, and would not have known about this if it were not for Roadtrippers!

I stayed at the Bunk Haus in May 2014... it has has most creature comforts for those looking to stay a night or two, a safe environment, good ablutions, shared ‘bunk-bed’ rooms. Also centrally located and within walking distance of just about everything in Over The Rhine. Great shops, food and bars just a street away, Enjoy!
