Not sure if it's normal or not, but it was extremely windy the day we visited. Having said that, it's a beautiful view, both driving & hiking. If you're in the Roswell area, this is a must! There is a little educational museum on location showing you lots about the park. Would visit again!
I'm a space nerd & this place checked all the boxes! You could spend anywhere from 20 minutes to over an hour in here. Lots of news clippings & newspaper articles & 1st hand accounts and also artifacts to see. Definitely a must if you're in Roswell! There is also a gift shop here for lots of souvenirs!
Nice rv park with plenty of space between lots & not far from downtown Roswell. This place had great amenities. We'd stay again if ever in Roswell. The staff was very friendly, also, which is a plus!
I guess maybe this is the town's mascot? Not really anything to do in this town & we honestly thought this was underwhelming but if you need a restroom break, why not
You can't complain about free! We stopped here on the way from abeline to roswell as my husband couldn't pass up a free rv spot for the night while tired. The site is all gravel with water, power, and sewer hookups. It is very dry & windy so ensure to wear sunglasses to keep debris from your eyes. There's nothing to do in this town so for a free spot, if you're tired of driving, why not stay for the night. Just know there's about 2 restaurants & a couple of fast food places & our server at the restaurant said there was 1 bar (February 2022). This must be a farming town as it smelled like it when the wind blows. There's not anything in the town to see so don't come for something to see or do, but if you are too tired ro keep driving & a free spot.
Great place for long term RV or temporary if youre a VFW member of any city or state. We stayed 3 nights, here. They have bingo during the day & lunch available. They have a full bar nightly & events on the weekends. The RV temporary spots have power & water plus there's a dump station you can use on the way out. This post is right across the street from an air force base so 1 night was a little noisy with aircraft but not bad other nights. Everyone wasxvery friendly & this was a great spot for us to take a break & relax on our road trip across the country. We left well rested.
This was a beautiful place to stay for a couple of nights. It's in the middle of no where with windy, hills roads so be sure to head in informed. The RV spot weren't exactly easy to get to and the spots were rough, only 1 we could fit it with our 32 ft rig. But there was power, water, & sewage hookup. There is a restaurant on-site open weekends. No dog park but plenty of places to walk your dog. In February of 2022, there were 2 little black dogs just roaming around unleashed all day every day from people that seemed to leave full time RV here, so you could probably let your dog roam but we never tried with ours (not from the area & unsure of wildlife) Middle of no where & absolutely beautiful view. We are adventurous & like to try the off-the-beaten-path type places, & couldn't have been happier.
You can't beat the view & the gorgeous sunset! We were able to pick what rv site we wanted & there was water & power hookup. No sewage at the site but there was a dump station towards the exit. This was off the beaten path, right down the road from the Arkansas border & a great, affordable spot along our road trip. $25/night in February of 2022
This casino has an RV park with full hookups & a bathhouse for showers & laundry. You can't stay at RV parks for the price you pay for the casino RV park. We stayed 2 nights at the Hollywood rv park & played Mississippi Stud all night one of the nights. There's also a great restaurant on-premise. Definitely a great place to spend some time while on the road. All the staff were very friendly & helpful with learning table games.
