“Join Underworld Adventures for some of New Zealand’s most celebrated eco-adventures.”

Underworld Adventures was established in 1987 by Geoff Schurr, Ray Moroney and Stu Berendt cavers with many years as leading cave explorers and educationalists. With their extensive knowledge, understanding and passion for the caves and karst on the West Coast they founded a company that offers the opportunity to experience exactly this, the beauty of a world that lays beneath our feed and to develop an understanding for this hidden treasure land.

Their pioneering spirit and passion became part of each tour guided and ongoing cave and karst education. Along with their guides, they continued to discover, explore and document discoveries of these very special subterranean systems.

It was upon this experience and early days that underworld adventures was founded to offer three distinct cave adventures in the Metro Cave System and Te Tahi.
