Fat Pigeon Cafe

We offer a wide range of freshly made fare from the kitchen, complemented by Ozone coffee or a selection of teas and cold drinks. The littlies will enjoy an indoor play area, plus a small sandpit outside, and sturdy highchairs.

Enjoy delicious fare from our substantial blackboard menu, or feast your eyes and choose from the delights in our cabinet - everything from breads, hot pots, bakes, stacks, pies, salads, to muffins, cakes, loaves, friands, nougat, fudge... the list goes on!

The café is connected to Kara Park via a wooden bridge, which provides a stunning outlook from the outdoor café seating; as well as a playground to entertain children, with a large grass area.

The café opened in June 2009, winning the prestigious Best Café Award (King Country) the following year, and continues to thrive and grow as a renowned popular café and meeting place.
