Here you can have the chance to see huge adult albatross flying, courting, nesting; chicks hatching in January and growing through the year. It’s a breath-taking sight to see the huge and remarkable bird soaring over your head.

The Royal Albatross Centre offers wildlife tours on Taiaroa Head where you can view Royal Albatross, Little Blue Penguins and many other seabirds from their purpose-built viewing areas. It also features an interactive gallery, superb cafe, gift shop & historic Fort Taiaroa.
