“Experience the powerful story of one of the great migrations in New Zealand's history”

Follow the dramatic story of one of the most remarkable global migrations in New Zealand's national history and one of the most famous Scottish migration sagas. Our story is revealed through interactive museum exhibitions and displays, including old world collections and archives. Waipu Museum gift shop - high quality New Zealand souvenirs, gifts and NZ books, including handcrafted New Zealand ceramics, woodware, jewellery and fashion accessories, NZ wool, NZ knitwear, possum socks, possum gloves, possum scarves and beautiful garments from the Possumdown range. Our Museum shop also stocks the registered Waipu Tartan fabric, scarves, ties and tea towels, hand crafted Quaiches, celtic jewellery, tartan ribbon, Celtic music CD's and Scottish history DVDs. We are also very proud of our range of traditional toys, from New Zealand and around the world. Come and experience Waipu's warm, community atmosphere which has been handed on since its earliest days as a pioneer village.
