YHA New Plymouth Sunflower Lodge is a homely hostel nestled among native trees and bush. It is a lovingly restored boutique hostel, an ideal base to explore Mt Taranaki, Surf Highway 45, the Coastal Walkway, the Sunday Farmers’ Market and much more. A wide range of comfortable backpacker accommodation is available including 4 share multi-share, female only, twin/triple, double and single rooms. YHA New Plymouth also accommodates families and groups. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas hob stove, large commercial oven, an instant hotwater zip and plenty of storage for your groceries. We also have an herb garden for cooking up Michelin quality meals, a scenic native garden and picnic area complete with outdoor BBQ. Plus we have some extra special add-ons such as Marvy, the resident Poodle cross hostel pup, free bike hire, a guitar, piano and electric blankets and hot water bottles for those chillier winter nights.
