Nestled on a ridge overlooking the vast Waipoua Forest – home of the ancient and iconic kauri trees which have been living here for up to 3,000 years, our original kauri pioneer homestead and four acres of garden are surrounded by pasture, forest, a tranquil bush walk and QEII native regenerating forest as far as the eye can see. When you stay with us we will share stories and history relating to the mighty kauri and the early settlers who fought the odds to live in this amazing environment.
