Hokitika Craft Gallery

The Hokitika Craft Gallery is a unique space. A co-operative owned and operated by its eleven maker-members, the gallery has been open to the public for over thirty years. Displaying a rich variety of both art and craftwork, the gallery provides an excellent opportunity to buy exciting works made locally.

The eleven artists and craftspeople who own and run the co-operative live and work in the area, drawing inspiration from the dramatic environment and rich cultural history of these surroundings. Members work in a variety of media, including jade/pounamu, fibre, flax/ harakeke, silk, wood and ceramics as well as watercolour, paper and canvas.

The gallery is open every day and staffed by members.
