WOW Surf School Gisborne

Founded by a local lady surfer who learned to surf on the very beaches that you might surf on.

With years of experience and proof that anyone can learn to surf given the right environment, we get alongside our clients to provide the best introduction to surfing possible.

We even taught a naughty puppy who wasn’t keen on the water, to surf and enjoy the process-now that takes patience and building trust!

It is complete joy for us to share the amazing experience of surfing with others, our priority is your surfing and enjoyment. No matter your age or skill level, you are so welcome, we look forward to having you with us!

We provide all the gear you will need, including top of the range wetsuits and surf boards.

We have a range of boards for you to try, we also offer surf photography, we find capturing shots of you surfing an excellent coaching tool & a great surfing memento to kick off your own surf journey.

We also sell organic surf wear and cool stuff that will make you smile.

There is a Womens Surf Squad you can join if you are planning to hang around Gisborne for a little while. This is a great group of surfers at all sorts of levels. We all get together to share the sport, learn new things at surf specific workshops, watch inspiring surf films together and go on the odd surf trip! The best bit is that we are a community and together we have fun!
