Kawai Purapura

One of New Zealand’s most popular destinations for retreats, conferences and seminars in natural health, environmental awareness, spiritual development and social responsibility. Relax for a few days at our retreat centre and enjoy the enlivening tranquility of nineteen acres of bush, gardens and lawns. Our accommodation is ideal for individuals requiring space for a personal retreat, or just time out, and for those visiting Auckland on business or pleasure, wanting a quite haven to return to at the end of the day. The rooms are away from the community and over-look an extensive lawn bordered by shrubbery and bush. A few of the rooms open onto a stream, which burbles gently through the tree ferns. We provide breakfast and full cateringoptions and there is a choice of double , single and twin share rooms.  Two rooms have ensuites, the rest share facilities. All are at very reasonable rates. Cooking facilities are available in the main Prema dining room. Kawai Purapura has a vibrant residential community of around ninety residents, and you are invited to join in some of the many community activities and go up to Rangimarie for shared community meals in the evenings. It may be that you just want a quiet space to spend time alone in nature. There are beautiful bush walks along the river and up into the hills, quiet glades to sit in, a trampoline and in summer a swimming pool to cool off in. Even though Kawai Purapura is tucked inside a rich landscape of bush, Albany Westfield with all its shopping malls, restaurants and supermarkets is only two minutes away and down-town Auckland, ten minutes over the bridge.
