Cabo Surf Safari

We found this place via friends. If you want to stay here, it's best that you get in touch with them first via Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/cabosurf.safari) as if anyone else is staying here, there probably won't be room for you.

And it's a small space, only suitable for tents or vans / truck campers. We managed to squeeze our VW Bus and our friend's truck camper in...but it was definitely tight.

On the other hand, it's awesome!

You're in the middle of an entire city block owned by one Mexican family, and one of the sons married a girl from Oregon...so your hosts will speak English but you'll still get to experience as authentic a Mexican lifestyle as any, since you'll be right in the middle of the brothers working, the kids playing soccer, all the while plenty of shade and hammocks and an easy walk to everything happening in Cabo (really, Cabo Wabo is 4 minutes away by foot, the marina maybe 12 minutes) is all yours for the taking.

Finding it can be a bit tricky. If you come into Cabo and find yourself on Calle Cabo San Lucas heading south, you'll eventually come to Lazaro Cardenas (a cross street). Make a right and you'll pass a small pizza shop named Jo's. Make the next right, then it's the second (I believe) entrance on your right, through a gate that is typically open and down into a driveway. And you're there!

The pizza place, by the way, is owned by one of the brothers and is some of the best pizza in Baja, plus they do sushi, too, though we didn't try that.

The rate here reflects an extra $5 to plug in, otherwise it's $20.
