Confirmed by 1 users | Last reported on February 22, 2018We wanted to stay in La Paz and be able to walk into town instead of packing up our truck camper every time we wanted to go to town and this was the only option we came across.
It is one mile to walk to the start of the malecón from this park. Unfortunately, it's not possible to walk along the waterfront to get there. We felt safe walking through the neighborhood. The campground is gated and you are given a key or access code after you arrive. There is a pathway down to the water as well.
The place is run by a sweet older lady. Be patient with her. :) She does have a caretaker that helps out as well. We were there in April and were the only people camping there (there are a couple bungalows available that people had rented). There are well kept showers and bathrooms available. No break on price during low season or for not needing to use the full hookups. She said they are usually full during high season and said it's a good idea to have a reservation during that time. It's a small park and is well kept with beautiful flowers!
The GPS will take you down a dead end road that turns to dirt...this is the right road!

I tried to call this park to make reservations but none of the phone numbers worked. Apparently it was closed for a while but is now open. It's a gated park down a dirt road one mile from the center of town. The sites are full hookup and you get a gate opener when you reserve your spot.
The owner is an elderly lady who lives on the property. She has a caretaker but likes to check people in herself, so check in may take a little while. If you allow a little time, she may tell you some of the interesting stories of her past.
For an "urban" location, there is decent spacing between sites. The back of the park overlooks the Sea of Cortez and even though there is a not so nice fence, there is still a decent view of the water.
We bicycled to the Malecon, about a mile away and three miles long so it's a nice easy cycle to the beautiful esplanade with many restaurants and shops.

The fee is at the tol end of the spectrum for the services offered. The sites are not well maintained, garbage cans overturned and the driving area would be tough with a larger unit. 30 amp plug ins are open and not secured in a housing. We never checked the showers or bathrooms. The visual check we did on a walk through was not appealing and we left. Theres a serious need for a grounds maintenance person/company. This place could be turned around into a very nice RV spot again with a little effort.
