“Enjoy a full view of Tokyo from 202 meters above the ground”
The Metropolitan Buildings consist of three main buildings. Tokyo Metropolitan Main Building No.1 is 243 meters (797 ft) high with forty-eight stories above and three stories below ground. Tokyo Metropolitan Main Building No.2 is 163 meters (535 ft) high with thirty-four stories above and three stories below ground. Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly Building is 41 meters (135 ft) high with seven stories above and one story below ground. The observatories are places for visitors to deepen their understanding and interest in Tokyo and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government while enjoying an amazing view. To access the observatories take the Observatory Elevator from the 1st Floor of Main Building No. 1.
One of my favorite building in Tokyo. It's very picturesque from afar, below and above. It's a relatively old building already but very clean and well kept.
The observatories commands a good view of the surrounding Shinjuku area. In good weather, you can see as far as Mt Fuji.
The best part is it's FREE! :D
The best place to go to if you want to see a full view of Tokyo. Just bring yourself, your camera and you're good to go! No entrance fee and you can also dine from above.
