I visited Masada a few months ago and was blown away. We only had a literally about an hour and a half so had to whiz round, and couldn't make the hike, but it is one of the most incredible places you will ever visit. The cable car up was a dramatic entrance, the views from the top were astounding and the story of the place just unbelievable. You have to visit! The only thing I would change is the number of tourists, but there you go!
